Link: Underwater lemur trove

less than 1 minute read

NSF has released a great short video outlining a new discovery of hundreds of subfossil lemur remains from underwater caves in Madagascar: “Enormous underwater fossil graveyard found”. The work is being directed by Alfred Rosenberger, who is working with a team of divers exploring underwater in three caves.

The video is around 4 minutes long and has great images of many of the lemur specimens, including a very nice skull of Megaladapis. The footage of the cave divers is beautiful.
