Department of Anthropology Lecturer

The Department of Anthropology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a nine-month lecturer position in anthropology for the 2012-13 academic year. This is a one-year, non-tenure track, benefit earning position.
The successful candidate will teach four courses a semester, and be capable of teaching a four-field introduction to anthropology; introductory courses in archaeology and biological/physical anthropology; and upper-level courses in their area(s) of expertise. Anthropological and geographic areas of interest are open, but proficiency in teaching in both small and large classrooms is required. M.A. required at time of appointment, but Ph.D. preferred.
